Wooster & Jeeves

"Because I'm invited to step out this evening
With top hat and white tie and tails."
Top Hat, White Tie And Tails
- Fred Astaire

Suspension lamps Wooster & Jeeves have been designed by Jake Phipps taking the exact shape of the classic top hat and the bowler respectively by a tribute to British history.

Both reflect the class system of British society in the late XIX century in which the wealthy high society gentlemen word top hat and those belonging to the working class used the bowler (Anglo-Saxon symbol par excellence).

With these designs Jake Phipps manages to turn a cultural icon in a funny lighting element reminiscent of past times of British society.

The most attractive way to place these lamps are grouped randomly evoking a group of citizens gathered.

The two lamps are made of felt and lined inside with aluminum (silver in the case of Wooster and gold if Jeeves) to increase light reflection.

The designer, Jake Phipps, has his studio located in London and is dedicated to designing products that are manufactured on a large scale.
